Making a Comeback

So it's been 2 years since I have blogged. Blogging has always been a way for me to journal my thoughts that I would not normally speak out loud. I have wanted to get back into it for some time but this time just for me. Not for the candid laugh from my audience but just for me to release all that is bottled up inside. There are too many things in life that drag us down. Too many things to occupy our time. I've probably driven all my "old" readers away with the hiatus. But that's ok...because I'm back and this time it's just for me!

Act 2

At work we have play money to acknowledge our coworkers for good deeds or thank them for their help. I made an extra effort to acknowledge 12 people I don't interact with regularly. I sought out to recognize them for their extra efforts. Today one of them told me thank you and I asked for what? He said for your acknowledgement. I had forgotten that I did that. It made me realize that I did not do the act to get a thanks. A true act of kindness is from the heart with no need for gratitude.

Day 72

Simplicity is being ignored just because they are upset. I know this really seems more complicated but really it really is simple since that is the simplest response.

Day 71

Simplicity is a new pair of earrings (my guilty little pleasure)

Act 1

We went to mcdonalds today for breakfast. I noticed there was a lady behind me. I decided to pay for her $3.16 breakfast. I watched in my rear view mirror as the cashier was explaining that her total was covered. The lady gave me a big ole wave and flashed a huge grin!!

30 random acts of kindness

I'm going to journal about my journey to complete 30 random acts of kindness towards friends, family, coworkers and strangers. I don't think we do enough to be genuinely kind to one another without expecting something in return. I will try to do atleast one a day.
