Arggg...Me treasure!!!

Last Friday I took the kids to school and I had a mommycation. I headed out to my favorite treasure hunting shops in search of little treasures waiting to be snatched up. I love this one resale shop I go to. The Woodlands is so uppity (sp?) that they don't advertise it and stick it way off the beaten path. The thing that cracks me up is that most of the customers are middle age white women who drive up in cars whose car payment would equal the rent for a family of four. There are some steals in there. I love going there and rummaging through all the goodies. I also headed to Big Lots. I don't like going there with the kids because I think they have a vendetta against moms. It is like they put toys around every corner. I guess it is just good marketing. I found some nit-picky things in there for cheap. Then I was off to my little diamond in the rough...literally...up in Conroe. The Salvation Army is next to the Mexican bingo joint and not in the best part of town. You truly have to dig to find anything of value but when you do it is a pay off. Last but not least I headed to Garden Ridge. I bought a curtain, shower rod and book from there. What's with Garden Ridge selling clothes now? Doesn't it seem a little weird. Plus they are just thrown on makeshift tables with no rhyme or reason. Drive a neat freak crazy!!!!It is slowly falling down on my list of places I like to shop.

I rarely get to go treasure hunting anymore since hubs works 6 days a week. And it is hard with two "todds" who don't let you just look and browse around. I was so thankful for my little day and look forward to the next one.

Here are some of my treasures

Wacation

The kids and I have been in Waco since Saturday. I have had 5 interviews for jobs and have logged several miles looking at houses and neighborhoods. I am getting excited about moving over here. The only bad thing is the possibility that the kids adn I may have to come by ourselves for a while until Hubs can get a job over here. We are headed back home tomorrow.

I am going to take a mommy-cation on Friday and send the kids to school. Not sure what is on my agenda...probably just work on things around the house or possibily hit my favorite antique shops. I need to get some of my to do list checked off especially if we are going to be putting the house on the market soon.

Falling Behind...I know

I have neglected my blog in the recent weeks. I have gone from loyal blogger to wayside blogger. We have been so busy that I'm just struggling to find time for everything. Plus doesn't help that Facebook has become so addicting. I think everyone can vouch for that!!

The kids had Go Texan Day at School on Friday. They dressed up like a cowboy and cowgirl. So cute!!

This was Buggers one morning. I thought she looked sooooo cute in her little knee high socks and dress. She just melts my heart at how adorable she is...

Hubs took this pic and video one night as me and the kids were enjoying watching people fall on their faces or rumps. I have a really bad habit (not sure if it a habit or just an uncontrollable reaction) to people falling.

The kids have really adjusted to going to daycare and getting up early. But when they are tired...they are tired!!!

Hubs and I have been getting the house ready for possibly listing it in April or May. We tackled some outside jobs today. I have been meaning to repaint our kitchen table and chairs for a while now. I decided to go ahead and do it today since it was so nice out. They turned out really good! Should have done it a long time ago.
