Knowles knows best...on resolutions

He who breaks a resolution is a weakling;
He who makes one is a fool.
~F.M. Knowles

I think I may have to agree with Knowles on this one. Therefore I am going to keep last year's tradition of making "hopefuls" for the new year. In looking back at my hopefuls of last year I have to say most if not all came through for me. Therefore if it ain't broke don't fix it...

2010 "Hopefuls"
1. I hope for an easy as can be birth of a healthy baby.
2. I hope for a smooth transition of welcoming a new baby into our family especially with our other two kids. I hope they adjust to the new baby well without too much kicking and screaming.
3. I hope to be in a position (whereever it may be) that I can stay home next year with the new one.
4. I hope to continue my quest to becoming a better cook...turning my attention to more classic southern dishes.
5. I hope that hubs and I's happiness and love continues to grow and our trials few so that we may become a stronger couple to take on three children.
6. I hope we can find a church home that we can worship the Lord and fellowship with other Christians.
7. I hope to become a better parent for my children so that they grow into productive, successful, and caring little people.
8. I hope once cleared I can start training again for the half marathon.
9. I hope I ease gracefully into 30 and do so without too much kicking and screaming.

Well there we have it...my hopefuls for 2010!!! Here's to a new year, new decade and new adventures.

Christmas Time is Here!!!

We had a great Christmas filled with family. This year was especially fun for the kids since they were so into Santa and all the beliefs that surround Christmas. It worked in our favor as a discipline tactic too. "Better not do that cause Santa is watching."
My sister and her family came down from Illinois for several days. It was so nice having them around. My kids just loved their cousins. I wish we lived closer.

We traveled over to Nederland on Christmas day to celebrate with Hubs family. We had a good time visiting. The kids love seeing their cousins on that side. It is funny because they are the oldest on that side and the youngest on my side.

All dolled up for Christmas

The kids got all gussied up for their Christmas pics at my mom's house. Aren't they adorable? I know I am biased being their mom but there is no denying that these little smiles and sweet faces aren't adorable. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

The stork is coming this summer

Well it's official we are expecting baby number three this summer (July 3rd to be exact). I am almost 14 weeks right now. This baby was more planned than our other two which weren't planned at all. We are looking forward to the arrival of this one but I have to be honest I am little worried. This new baby is going to change the whole dynamics of our family. Bubby and Buggers are so independent right now and are becoming so easy to take places and "deal with". I have heard that going from 2 to 3 was a whole new ball game...going man to man to now playing a zone defense. Hubs and I will officially become out numbered. But in all honesty now that this little one is on its way I feel like our family will be more complete.
We have decided to not find out the sex of the baby until its born. I feel like it is going to be so exciting to hear the doctor say "it's a boy... it's a girl". We found out with the other two so this will be something special with this one. It is driving my family nuts not being able to find out. They are such planners that it doesn't surprise me that it is driving them bonkers. My dad has even said he is going to call the doctor and make her tell him.
We are pretty set on a name if it's a boy...Jansen Paul. Hubs picked it out actually before we got pregnant. He read a book a few months ago whose main character was Paul Jansen. And he really liked the name Jansen. We decided to stick with Paul as the middle since that is Hubs and Bubby's middle names. The girl name is posing more difficulty. We haven't really decided on a name that both of us like. We have Natalie Haley, Brooke Haley, Addie Suzanne, Adelyn Haley, and Macy Suzanne all in the pot. Out of all of them I like Macy the best. I don't know why it is so much harder to come up with a girl name this time. Buggers was so easy since it was a family name that I had wanted since I was a little girl.
Well here's to a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!!! And to not gaining too much weight that will take me forever to lose... :)

Imagine....

The kids had their annual music program on December 18th. It was absolutely fabulous. They had 88 Pre-K kids on stage singing and dancing for 30 minutes. They did such a great job. The entire school was involved Pre-K3 to 8th grade in the program. The older kids produced all the music for each song by playing drums, triangles, bells, xylophones, and other cool instruments. It was really the neatest program I have ever seen. I can't wait until next year!!

Bubby lost his first tooth on Dec 10th

Before with all his sweet baby teeth

After...Snaggle tooth

It's he adorable!!! I can't help by smile at his beautiful face!!

Terrible Blogger

I have seriously neglected my blog. Not really sure why...might be the fact that I'm addicted to Facebook. Also I get so frustrated with Blogger when I try to post pics. They really need to change their upload feature. It is such a pain in the rear to try and upload pics especially when they are all out of order. Anyway New Year's Resolution...to blog more even if it is for two reasons...so one day I can order a book of my blog and to give Leeza something to do at work. :)
