Act 2

At work we have play money to acknowledge our coworkers for good deeds or thank them for their help. I made an extra effort to acknowledge 12 people I don't interact with regularly. I sought out to recognize them for their extra efforts. Today one of them told me thank you and I asked for what? He said for your acknowledgement. I had forgotten that I did that. It made me realize that I did not do the act to get a thanks. A true act of kindness is from the heart with no need for gratitude.

Act 1

We went to mcdonalds today for breakfast. I noticed there was a lady behind me. I decided to pay for her $3.16 breakfast. I watched in my rear view mirror as the cashier was explaining that her total was covered. The lady gave me a big ole wave and flashed a huge grin!!

30 random acts of kindness

I'm going to journal about my journey to complete 30 random acts of kindness towards friends, family, coworkers and strangers. I don't think we do enough to be genuinely kind to one another without expecting something in return. I will try to do atleast one a day.
