First day of Christmas Break

The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our first day of break. We took our neighbors some goodies. Bubby was so cute delivering them to the doors. Buggers was saying "we are making deliberies". Then we rode down to the pond to see the ducks. Bubby rode his Hummer and Buggers and I rode my bike. Bubby still has a difficult time driving in a straight line and tends to ride up into people's yards. And he even got spooked while crossing the street and hopped out of the hummer in the middle of the crosswalk. I'm sure it was a sight watching me on a bike with a 2 year old in the bike carrier trying to pull a hummer across the street. I was finally able to convince Bubby to get back in a drive it. The cars waiting were very patient and I sensed from them that they knew the feeling. We made it home safe and sound finally.
Bubby was the photographer...he took about 10 more of the neighbors houses.

Flower Girl

Buggers has been asked to be a flower girl in Hub's cousin's wedding in February. Yesterday her dress arrived in the mail. It was so cute because the box was addressed to her. She was so excited to have received something just for her.

Playhouse Disney Live

The kids' aunt and uncle bought them tickets to see Playhouse Disney Live yesterday. It was a really cute show with all the main shows and characters. The Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, and Winnie the Pooh and friends all showed up. Buggers loved it!! She was dancing and following all the instructions by the characters. She was so into it. Bubby had a good time too. The funniest part was when the Little Einsteins came out. They were not in costume like Mickey Mouse. They were just dressed up like them. He wasn't so convinced. But he loved it when a huge rocket rolled on stage. We really appreciate Lee and Amanda doing this for our kiddos.

In love...

with my matching hat and gloves from Target!!! Two pair of gloves for 1.50 and hat for 1.50. My scarf is an oldie but an absolute favorite. I find excuses to wear it. One of my students gave me matching gloves, hat, and scarf in the most devine fabric and in my favorite color...pink. I'm wearing it tomorrow hot or not!!! I love love love dressing for the cold. Just wish the weather would make up its mind...either be 30 or 80. Totally screwing with my wardrobe!!

Be trippin'

I must have been crazy to take two toddlers to the mall on a Saturday afternoon during the height of Christmas shopping. But to see their eyes light up when they saw Santa was worth the trip. Of course being the cheapskate that I am I didn't not let them go up to him. The cheapest package was $25!!! That is ridiculous. That is more than I pay at Target and I get a ton of pics. I know I am going to break down and let them go see him up close and personal. However I'm sure their pic will be of them with terrified look and them in mid escape. For those of you who know my kids really well...know their look of pure terror. Oh the happy memories we create. The highlight of their day was the carousel. They had so much fun riding up and down. I am such a party pooper when it comes to the carousel. The whole time I'm contemplating throwing up or passing out. The up and down and round and round motion is way too much for me. Give me a gut wrenching, pants wetting rollercoaster but I will pass on the weenie "even slobbery infants and diaper wearing grannies" ride with glee. But I do those things that I don't care for anyway for the joy and smiles it gives my kids. Too bad Daddy wasn't there...next time it is his turn.

Little Suzy

Buggers was my little Martha on Saturday while I baked cookies. Isn't she adorable?!?!

Don't mind the half broke-half fixed dishwasher in the background. When hubs get some time he is going to fix it. God love him for working so hard for us.

My Puddin and Pie

This fishy is smokin'

Buggers did so good taking her breathing treatments this past week. It really seemed to help her. She is doing alot better and hasn't had a treatment in a few days.

Holy Snow

It actually snowed here on Wednesday!! Can you believe it snowing in Texas?!?!?! In Houston for that fact!! Bubby was lovin it. He was licking everything in the backyard...deck, tricycle, swing.

Too bad it didn't last...it was in the 70s today

Poor Baby Buggers

Buggers started running a fever on Thursday. It spiked to 104 during the night. So I took her to the doctor on Friday. After 3 hours of waiting for a 2 year old to pee in a bag, we left with no diagnosis. He thought she had a UTI since she had no other symptoms except fever. However, on Friday night she was struggling to breathe and was pretty labored in breathing just while sleeping. This continued on through Saturday. On Sunday I called to on call service. The on call doctor called in a prescription for her for breathing treatments and steriods. She has had 6 breathing treatments so far and is doing a little better. My mom is driving down today to help out and watch them. She may take them back with her to Waco. I'm gonna take her back to the doctor today at 4 just to make sure we are on the right track. You know it really irritates me that we spent so long in the doctor's office on Thursday and walked out empty handed. Just to finally get what we needed from an on call doc who did not physically see her. I seriously wanted to ask for my copay back since we got nothing.
Buggers in her "fever bath"

Bubby got a scratch on his elbow and needed a "cold". He was laughing the whole time it was on there. It was hilarious!!

Jingle all the Way

My decorating is officially complete. Here are some more of my christmas pretties.

Jet Plane

Bubby made a "jet plane" today out of rolls of wrapping paper. So creative and inventive.

Christmas Toddler Style

I was decorating the small tree today when I became a part of a photo shoot. Bubby took pictures of the tree decorating. It is so amazing to see the world through the eyes of a 4 year old. He loves taking pictures and capturing the moment. As we looked throught he pictures he was so excited to see his creations. He even said on one of them "Look mom you are in the way". That just tells you that I was not the object of his picture taking...clearly it was the tree.

Mark it Off the Calendar

Hubs and I decided we should have marked yesterday off the calendar. The morning started off my Bubby saying his belly hurt. I hated having to send him to the sitter but had no other choice. Then first period I get an email from the sitter stating it wasn't going to work out her watching the kids. Great!!! So I went ahead and put in for a sub for today (Friday). I would need to find somewhere for them to go starting on Monday. Then the sitter texts me and tells me that Buggers is running a fever. So I arrange for someone to watch my students while I run and get them. They spent the rest of the afternoon with me in my classroom which was a wash for my students. As my drama is going on, hubs is havin and equally if not worse day at work. His best tech got fired, the UHaul truck they transport equipment with broke down, and Murphy's law applied to everything else. He left early to come pick up the kids from the school so I could get ready for my game. Which was a huge disappointment being that we lost by 1 point :( Then a few minutes into the next game I was summoned out to the foyer by another teacher. There was a player from the other team who was struggling to breathe and feeling tingling in her hands and feet. After assessing her, I called 911 and requested an ambulance. Twenty minutes later she was on a stretcher and headed to the hospital. The night didn't end there. Buggers woke up in the middle of the night running a high fever which reached to 104. So today we are at home waiting to take her to the doctor at 1:30. Oh and to solve our problem for the next two weeks I think my mom is going to come stay with us next week then either hubs mom will come back for a week or they will go to waco with my mom. That takes a lot of stress off me and I can spend some time choosing a daycare. Good thing is that yesterday is over and today has given us bright sunshine and a day to catch up around the house.
