Wedding Bells are ringing!!!

Congrats are in order for John D and Necia. (Necia is hub's cousing) We traveled to Baton Rouge on Thursday evening for the festivities. Buggers and I attended the Bridesmaids luncheon at Aunt Mary's on Friday where we were treated with great food and beautiful atmosphere. Necia was so sweet and gave Buggers a cute backpack with a sweet Cabbage Patch doll and bracelet. The bag also had her initial monogrammed on it. I was really nervous about Buggers walking down the aisle at the church. She is pretty shy and nervous around people she doesn't know. But to my surprise she pranced (literally) down the aisle and even stood at the front of the church. Hubs and I had a great time at the reception. The kids loved dancing to the music and hanging out with their cousins.

23 bags of leaves on the wall...

Last saturday I decided to do the daunting task of raking leaves in the front yard. As I walk Abbie I notice all the other yards look so neat and clean without a leaf in sight. Then our yard looks like where all the leaves congregate in the neighborhood. Well we made it a family affair and got everyone involved...even Abbie.

Their first time to get ice cream off the ice cream truck...a dying novelty

New Heights to Sundays

We headed down last Sunday to my sister's new house in the Heights. We went to a cute little park. Hubs and I felt like fish out of water there. We are such suburbanites with our comfy jeans, tee shirts, tennis shoes and minivans amongst the city folks whose idea of casual is still linen pants.

Cream of the crop

I recently discovered Jergen's Face Cream. It is a deep cleansing, softening, and moisturizing cream. Directions read smooth generously over your face and throat...remove with a tissue or leave on overnight. I have used it all week and have done it both ways. It feels like butter going on your face. It also claims to leave a radiant dewy base for makeup. My makeup just glides on. And the best part is it is in a big tub and only cost me $3.50 for 15 oz. Most cleansers and moisturizers cost over 6 bucks. This is the best deal for 3 products in one.

Towtally Screwed up

Dinner...$25
Cover charge...$14
Cab Fare...$10
To get our car out of the impound lot...$200
Parking Ticket...$65
The realization of why we don't go out anymore...priceless!!!

But on the upside, we did get some great pics! And I got to see hubby laugh his ying yang off which was a joy to see. Plus the reason for the whole night was Jer's 30th birthday party!! It was great to really surprise him!!

He really had no clue...it was great! Way to go Sleeza!!
