Buggers and Her Rudy
Well I guess it is time to bring "Rudy" out of the closet. Those of you who know my Buggers well knows that her best bud is "Rudy". Rudy is a sweet, sometimes bad, little (as in size) boy that is always with her. They became friends some time ago. My earliest recollection of "Rudy" coming around was this past fall. "Rudy" is Buggers' imaginary friend. He lives with us, rides in the car, goes to school, gets put in timeout when he is bad, tickles her, plays with her, and even pushes on her stomach to make her throw up. "Rudy" is as real to her as a real person. I am amazed at her imgination and the things she conjures up for "Rudy" to do. My favorite is when "Rudy" tickles her. She just giggles and says "Rudy's tickling me." She is like a little momma to "Rudy". She carries him, takes care of him when he gets hurt, and even puts him in timeout when he gets in trouble. She holds him in the palm of her hand and even walks around like she is holding his hand, hunched over with hand stretched down and all.
I asked her teacher at school if she ever talks about him. And with a big grin she said "OH YEAH!" She said in fact Buggers told her that day that "Rudy" ate her brownies. She said it is hilarious to hear the stories about "Rudy". My reply is always "that my crazy girl."
I mean how many little kids have imaginary friends that are so real. It reminds me of that movie from the early 90s, Drop Dead Fred. (Movie Summary---A young woman finds her already unstable life rocked by the presence of a rambunctious imaginary friend from childhood.) I'm sure she will outgrow it. But in the mean time I will just feed her creativity and accept "Rudy" as our 3rd child. Good thing is that he won't eat much :)

Momma called the doctor
Well we have been in the land of the sick the past week and half. Bubby and Buggers have had ear infections, sinus, and enterovirus. Bubby was the sickest and finally started feeling better on Sunday. So really not much to report unless you want an account of sleepless nights, snotty noses, and projectile vomit in the middle of the night. But I'm sure you will all pass. So I will leave you with our little ones all dressed up...

Everyone needs a good recipe
Great Recipe for a peace-filled life..
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk (run) every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to __________ today. I am thankful for______________!
4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment.
8. Eat breakfast like a KING, lunch like a PRINCE and dinner like a COLLEGE KID with a maxed out charge card.
9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
16.. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'
17. Forgive everyone for everything.
18. What other people think of you is none of your business.
19. GOD heals everything - but you have to ask Him.
20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch!!!
22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements:I am thankful for __________. Today I accomplished _________.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings.
You'll be smiling before you know it.

For Sale
Well tomorrow we officially list our house on the MLS. No turning back now. We tried it a week on our own which was a very valiant effort resulting in 2 showings, 1 email, and no phone calls. I came to the conclusion that FSBOs are going with of the rest of the dying breeds. So pray to the real estate god that our house sells quickly and we get close to asking price.
Viva las Waco!!

PreK paying off
Bubby: "Ahhh Lillie look what you made." as he looks at her schoolwork for the day.
"There's your name Lillie. L-I-eleven-I-E."
You can't make that stuff up. That's my boy thinking out of the box!!!

What does a Pig Say?
I have slight soreness in my throat on the right side and my left nostril is kind of stuffy. Plus my right elbow has been aching all day. Oh Lord have mercy, do I have the swine flu?!?!?
Call me crazy, call me psycho, call me paranoid...but just don't call me "infected". I have a really bad case of the freak outs about this swine flu. I even wigged out on two teachers because they grabbed my arm. I told them stop touching me there's swine flu out there!!! Then today I got the janitor at school to give me some disinfectant to clean my clasroom. I cleaned the desks, door handles, phone, cabinets, and about anything else their grubby little hands would touch. I also told my students if they so much as cough I'm sending them to the nurse. I did send one before 9 oclock to get checked--he looked flu-ish and had 3 of the symptoms. After he left I sprayed his desk again. My current classroom arsenal includes clorox wipes, foaming hand sanitizer, gel sanitizer, and school grade disinfectant. So back off little piggies or say hello to my little friend!!!

Hubs thinks I'm crazy, my mom thinks I'm crazy, my coworkers think I'm crazy, my facebookers think I'm crazy...dang maybe I am crazy!! No I'm just being precautious and don't want my kids to get it especially Bubby since his immune system is only subpar.
Is anybody else freaking out or just going on as normal?

Cute as can be when you're turning 3
Out to Lunch
I know I have been a nonblogger lately. I don't think it is for a lack of material. I think it is more about a lack of time and motivation. We have been pretty busy around here with Bugger's birthday, getting the house ready to sale, and for me TAKS is coming up next week. The end of April always seems so stressful.
Hubs and I have been working alot around the house getting it ready. He has powerwashed just about everything and has been busy fixing all the little things that don't seem to fix themselves. I have been cleaning out closets, downsizing, and selling things online. We are hoping to list the house the first weekend of May. I am getting pretty nervous about selling it. You know with this "Odama Economy". Realtors say that houses are still selling in our area but I'm just worried it won't. Not sure what the plan will be if it doesn't. I have already resigned from my job and signed my contract for my new one in Waco. I guess if it doesn't sell then I will have to find something else here to do.
Speaking of school I only had 6 kids fail!!! I had 19 take it and all failed last year. So I would say that was pretty successful. On average kids scored 20 points higher than last year!!! It is a good feeling to be leaving on such a good note.
This kids are doing great at school. Aiden wrote his name for the first time without the dot outline yesterday. His writing has gotten so good. He is also becoming quite the conversationalist. He is very observant (especially in the car...I'll blog about that later). Buggers is such a doll. She turned 3 last Sunday. She had a "Strawberry Cake" party with lots of strawberries and "do it yourself" shortcakes. She has really been doing well at school too. She still cries every morning when I drop her off but I'm told she quits pretty quickly. She has a little boy that is her best friend. One day when she left he followed her out of the room crying wanting a hug bye. It was so sweet. We are hoping they can stay in school even with the changing of Hubs' job situation.
I'm sorry for the long wait from my faithful few. I promise to get back on board with blogging. I also need to get on the ball with reading all of my favs too. My google reader had a ungodly amount of unread feeds when I checked it the other night.

Arggg...Me treasure!!!
Last Friday I took the kids to school and I had a mommycation. I headed out to my favorite treasure hunting shops in search of little treasures waiting to be snatched up. I love this one resale shop I go to. The Woodlands is so uppity (sp?) that they don't advertise it and stick it way off the beaten path. The thing that cracks me up is that most of the customers are middle age white women who drive up in cars whose car payment would equal the rent for a family of four. There are some steals in there. I love going there and rummaging through all the goodies. I also headed to Big Lots. I don't like going there with the kids because I think they have a vendetta against moms. It is like they put toys around every corner. I guess it is just good marketing. I found some nit-picky things in there for cheap. Then I was off to my little diamond in the rough...literally...up in Conroe. The Salvation Army is next to the Mexican bingo joint and not in the best part of town. You truly have to dig to find anything of value but when you do it is a pay off. Last but not least I headed to Garden Ridge. I bought a curtain, shower rod and book from there. What's with Garden Ridge selling clothes now? Doesn't it seem a little weird. Plus they are just thrown on makeshift tables with no rhyme or reason. Drive a neat freak crazy!!!!It is slowly falling down on my list of places I like to shop.
I rarely get to go treasure hunting anymore since hubs works 6 days a week. And it is hard with two "todds" who don't let you just look and browse around. I was so thankful for my little day and look forward to the next one.
Here are some of my treasures
