Well we loaded up the van and all headed to the Waco Zoo today. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the kids were free and we were only $7 each. However, when we got to the ticket booth the lady asked if we were evacuees and only charged us $5 a piece. That was just a sweet gesture.

The Waco Zoo is so shady and gets you right up close to the animals. Sometimes a little too close for comfort. We stayed about 2 1/2 hours. The kids had a blast looking for pawprints. My favorite comment of the day was from Buggers. We were looking at the dward antelopes and were commenting on how small they were. Buggers said, "Look they are little just like me." So cute and so observant to make such a connection.
